Are you a backpacker looking for a great alternative to a hostel or bunkhouse?  Swansea Bay Rooms are able to offer you the perfect solution: en-suite bedrooms for independent travellers on the beach-side Singleton Park Campus. 

The accommodation comprises single bedrooms in a 1960’s nine storey tower which was recently refurbished with bedrooms equipped with shower/wc/washbasin pods.

Enjoy views of Swansea Bay or Singleton Park from your room whilst discovering everything South Wales has to offer even the most seasoned of travellers.

Rooms are priced at £22 per night and are available throughout the summer for a minimum of 3 nights.

  • Guests have access to a communal kitchen, shared with up to 10 other residents.  Please bring your own equipment
  • Excellent public transport links with direct bus routes from the Swansea High Street Railway Station and the Swansea Bus and Coach Station
  • Easy access to the Swansea Bay coast path, either east into the city centre or west to Mumbles with its many restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours
  • Bed linen is provided for the mattress, 2 pillows and the quilt.  Please bring your own towel.
  • There is no cleaning service with guests asked to leave the kitchens as found
  • Parking is provided on campus on a first come first served basis
  • Arrival can be on any day of the week
  • Bookings must be made more than 48 hours before arrival
  • The reception desk is open 24 hours per day
  • There is a variety of catering outlets and bars around the campus open for cash sales from 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday and more limited opening on Saturdays
  • Bringing a child of 2 or under?  Please bring your own travel cot.  All children over 2 must have their own bed

All rooms on the University’s campus are accessible by wheel chair. There are lifts to all floors above the ground floor. Showers, in the main, have a step up to access them, as do the WCs, if in a pod format. Some bedrooms are specially designed for wheelchair users.
